I originally graduated from the Tourism and Travel program at Mohawk College in 2011. Once in the job market, I realized that what I was actually passionate about was working with animals, so I did a little bit of research and found myself applying for the Animal Care program at Sheridan College a few years later. I'm so glad that I went back to school because, in 2017, I graduated from the Animal Care program with top marks in my class.
I joined the clinic in November 2017. What interests me the most is learning about anatomy and pathology. My first pet was a cat named Patches, whom I had for 18 years and miss very much. I love the fact that I get to see and work with animals every day and that there is always something to do with this job. I also enjoy the independence and building relationships that come with the position.
My favourite thing about working at Briarwood is working with wonderful people that make up a great team here. A fun fact about myself is that I am a volunteer with Hamilton Animal Services on a weekly basis.
