Microchipping

Microchipping is crucial for pet safety, ensuring a higher chance of reunion if they ever get lost.

Microchips are excellent for helping lost pets find their way back to their families. Microchips ensure permanent identification of your pet; tattoos and collar tags, unfortunately, aren’t as reliable. Microchipping is safe and effective. We often have microchip promotions so make sure we have your email address.

Why is it important to ensure my dog is microchipped?

Microchipping ensures permanent identification and increases the chance that your pet will come home to you if he/she gets lost.

How does a microchip work and is it safe?

A microchip is small (about the size of a large grain of rice). The microchip passively stores a unique ID number which is specifically assigned to your pet. The microchip is placed under the skin between the shoulder blades using a needle. This is a quick procedure that can be done during your appointment. Microchips are very safe; they remain inert until scanned with a special microchip scanner.

How much does it cost to microchip a dog?

Call us to find out as we often have half price microchip days throughout the year.
